Can I pay for my crates online and select my choice at your store? YES, simply pay through the website and print out your confirmation order form and come get your crates.

Why don’t you provide a quote over the phone for custom furniture installations or one-off furniture pieces? Precisely, it is CUSTOM so an inspection of your space or concept is necessary for an accurate quote. We provide in-home consultations and product demonstrations for a $120 fee. This fee is then applied towards the labor, if one chooses to hire TheCratePeople. At best, after receiving professional advice “know how” from TheCratePeople one can simply DIY.
Besides the crates listed on your website, Do you guys have other types or sizes? YES, We are consistently acquiring random crates from all over the US and European Countries; be it Soda Pop, Milk Crates, Metal Wire Dairy Crates etc.. However those are only available at our warehouse for local pickup (please don’t ask for photos or pricing over the phone).
Why can’t I select a specific Soda Pop Crate or Apple/Produce Label Crate online? It’s not practical, over 250 different Produce Label Crates and over 3,000 Soda Crates to choose from. We hope you love the one(s) we send you. Only in person at the warehouse, can one pull there own choice.
Are these crates still in strong stable condition even though they are antique? YES, However some could use extra nails or even screws for strength.
Are the crates dirty? YES, again straight from the farms… However the Tall Grape Crate requires little to no wash.
How do I clean the crates? Hose them down, use a brush and bucket of soap & water. Allow to dry completely in the sun.
Will wetting them hurt the crates or warp the wood? NO, These crates have already been exposed to harsh weather conditions and are very resilient.
I am looking for similar consistency in color or patina to build a piece of furniture, are they all the same? NO, every crate is different in regards to its color or patina. Each crate tells a story but YES one can mix and match because some are dark or lighter than others. We highly recommend one visit our warehouse for the hand pick experience.

Are these vintage crates treated with any chemicals? NO, Plain o’l wood crates that where used for picking produce. They make great garden boxes
Do you Rent Crates for Weddings or Special Events? YES, Hourly, Daily and Weekly Rates available. We rent crates at 50% of listed retail price
If I buy a dozen crates can you give me a discount? NO, These crates are Rare and now Obsolete. Our average sale is 12 crates and some of our return clients re-sell them for double our price.
